I create artfully designed images of decadent beauty. My photographs capture, in time, ephemeral subjects that I have manipulated and staged to impact the audience in thought provoking ways. I prefer to do studio work so that I can maintain complete control, especially when effecting the balance of light and shadow. The content of my work is often curiously unsettling. I like to evoke conflicting emotions and elicit unusual responses from the viewer. I want people to wonder just how and why the subject matter of my compositions was presented in such a manner, so that I might alter someone's opinions or confuse their perceptions of the world for a while. And I hope my imagery will be remembered.
